The word “later” can be a very dangerous word. Thinking that you can do something at a later date can be detrimental to you achieving your goals and achieve success. You might not tell yourself that you can’t do it because you would reject that. You have a strong belief in being positive.
However living in that “land of later” can prohibit you from achieving the goals that you so richly deserve. “Later” often seems like a good time to do something. You can really believe that you will do it— not right now, but a little later. However, “later” continually is slipping away from us and too many items in the “I’ll do it later” bucket, just don’t ever get completed —- or even started!
In this video you get a chance to see me on a beautiful day in Orlando, Florida, as I relax on one of my Cracker Barrel rocking chairs.:-) in addition to that you get a chance to see the MetLife blimp as it soars over Orlando (Really! Live footage). And to cap it all off you get a chance to see up close the Orlando Eye (yes from 1.5 miles away you can read the letters on the ferris wheel cars), the world’s largest ferris wheel (or at least I’ve heard it is the world’s largest)
More importantly, you learn about the dangers of putting off important goals in your life. Now is a perfect time to listen to this as we get closer to the end of another year. Enjoy this video and I wish you success in achieving your goals.

7 habits of amazingly successful salespeople
More than ever today, all of us are selling. In business, we sell our products and services. In life, we’re constantly selling our ideas, our plans and more. Being able to influence others is part of the selling process, and we can all learn from people who are successful in selling.
The best salespeople seem to practice a set of common habits. Here are seven habits of highly successful salespeople.
When times get tough, the unsuccessful want to circle the wagons and hunker down into something safe and cozy. Unfortunately for them, life isn’t designed to be cozy or safe. It rewards those who take risks and venture forth in hustle mode. Successful people have a sense of urgency about them. They know how to embrace hustle mode when it is necessary.
They are not pushy salespeople. Instead they are constantly creating, building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships. They think of themselves as farmers — constantly nurturing, caring and doing the day-to-day tasks to grow a strong harvest farther down the road.
The best-kept secret of social media is that it is a brilliant tool for research. One ninja-level trick is to start with LinkedIn to get the basics about a person, such as where your prospect went to school and worked. Then move on to Facebook to get more information about what he or she likes, such as restaurants, vacations, pets, kids or quotes. Then they move on to Twitter and track their tweets, their re-tweets and the people they follow. They learn volumes about potential clients this way.
They deploy social media with pinpoint, precision accuracy. None of this “My cat is sleeping” kind of baloney. They research like crazy (see point No. 3), and then they take massive action to connect with others in a way that is meaningful to the other person. Let your prospects see you as an ally rather than just another pest trying to fake a common interest only to sell your stuff.

I wish I had a nickel for every book or article I’ve seen with titles along the lines of “How to make money in social media.” There’s no doubt about it that social media is important, and I would say critical, for business success today.
The idea is that you create content which people like, They follow you, and eventually end up doing business with you as we progress up the know, like, trust, and engage scale.
I’ve taught these principles for many years, and I write about them on my blog. I still believe those concepts work and will work for a long time. The idea of social media is that you help others to solve their problems and connect with them in a real, human way. The old idea of one way communication has been replaced with interaction, engagement, and connection with others. I like this as it is very much about relationship marketing, that I discuss extensively.
Now there’s ev
en better news. We are now beginning to see a new trend that is going to go even farther than the methodologies of simply writing your information and hoping that someone will do business with you. Just producing content and hoping for results is more like the old “Spray and pray” method of sending out your messages hoping and praying that maybe, somehow, someway, if the wind is blowing right, you’ll get business.
Last week I went to Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, to learn about a new platform that pays content creators to produce. Content creators on this new platform get paid based on how much others think their content is good quality. It is fully market-based. This means that you can get paid for good quality work– – – again, quality is determined by the readers – – – and you can earn real, spendable currency.
This new platform is called Steem and I wanted to find out about it by visiting a conference dedicated to this new platform called Steemfest. It was pretty amazing to see a group of about 200 people get together for the first time concerning this new platform. The energy in the room was electric with excitement about the new platform and people who have actually earned money by writing content.
The way it works is that you submit content to your account on steemit.com and it is available for the community to observe. Depending on who votes for you with what is called an “Upvote” or a ” Downvote” you can earn certain Steem dollars. Steam dollars can be converted into the currency of your choice like US dollars, Euros, Australian dollars, or other currencies.
I have to admit that I’m just getting started in learning about this myself, but I find it fascinating. Stay tuned as I learn more about the mechanics and technical details of this new platform.
My prediction is that we will see increased opportunities like Steem on the Internet. In the past, people would write for platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and others and the people who got paid were not the content producers. If this type of ecosystem takes off on the Internet, We will see more quality content coming out as people work harder to produce better quality content and get paid more. As there is a direct correlation between the quality of the content and the payment received, at least in theory, it will be a boost to content producers.
Come with me as I experience this and show you what can be done. Visit https://steemit.com/ and check it out.
What do you think? Please leave your comments below and share this with others. This is huge! This could portend a change in the way content is produced and how payment is allocated. I love it!
All the best,
Terry
